Getting the most our of your booking with us
We are delighted to take care of you and your teams/guests and hope the following information is useful to help you get the most out of your mindful moment
Before we arrive…
Let us know how to access your venue and any registration requirements.
Ensure you have the appropriate furniture set up and ready.
For hand massages we’ll need a standard height and weight table and chairs as we will sit opposite the person we are massaging and need to be able to reach the hand and arm up to the elbow without our therapist overstretching.
For chair massages we’ll need the massage chair ready to use upon arrival and a demonstration on how to make adjustments. If you don’t have a chair, we can provide one for an extra fee.
Find a space that suits your guests. This may be in an open, public space or you may wish to dedicate a private area or room for a more tranquil setting.
If you are providing a room for our session, please ensure it is available to us at least 30 minutes before and after you wish your treatments to begin.
Think about the format of your event and whether you would like the massages to be available on a walk-up basis or for pre-booked timeslots.
If you would like people to prebook we recommend the following timings
15 minute slots for hand massage (10 minutes massage time, 5 minutes changeover.
20 minute slots for chair massage (15 minutes massage time, 5 minutes changeover).
If you are offering the massages as a walk-up activity, you may wish to consider having a queue system depending on the number of staff/guests you are expecting.
Ensure you have made your teams/guests aware of our treatment policy.
Promoting Your Wellbeing Event
To maximise participation on the day, we recommend:
Announcing the event 1–2 weeks beforehand
Explaining the benefits of chair massage
Sharing booking links/sign up sheets promptly
Encouraging staff to arrive a few minutes before their slot
Having a waitlist to fill any cancelled slots
On The Day
We will arrive onsite 30 minutes before your booking starts in order to set up our area and familiarise ourselves with the space.
Please introduce us to any fire marshalls and first aiders.
We will bring the following with us:
Cleaning materials
Massage cradle covers and couch roll which is changed between every client
Wrist pillows and towels (hand massage)
Massage oil (hand massage). Please note we do not bring any nut oils in our kit
Tablet with our consent forms which is required for our insurance to be completed by every client. Treatment will be denied if consent form completion is refused.
For regular bookings, a shorter consent form is required to confirm no changes have occurred since first treatment occurred. This is to cover us in the event of new medical conditions, pregnancy etc.
What To Wear
Chair massage is performed fully clothed, so there is no need to change or remove clothing. For the most easy and effective treatment, we recommend wearing lightweight, comfortable clothing where possible. Thick knitwear, bulky jumpers, structured jackets, blazers and heavy hoodies can make it more difficult for the therapist to access areas of tension in the neck, shoulders and back.
If you are wearing a jacket, coat or bulky outer layer, you may be asked to remove it before your treatment. Jewellery, lanyards and items in pockets may also need to be removed temporarily for comfort and safety.
Timings
Your booking time is not inclusive of set-up/close-down time and begins at the time requested on your booking.
For bookings of 4 hours or more, breaks form part of the massage time to ensure your therapist can give the best possible service and will be as follows:
A 20 minute break for bookings of 4 or more hours
A 20 minute and a 40 minute break for bookings of 6 or more hours
If you are booking timeslots, any late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time, or they may not be able to have their treatment so that we can keep to time for the other booked guests. We always do our best to accommodate any changes on the day.
Health and Safety
Our therapists are fully qualified and insured.
We can provide a copy of our standard risk assessment and insurance certification upon request.
We follow strict hygiene protocols. All equipment is cleaned and sanitised between each treatment, single use covers are used and disposed of for each client and the therapist will sanitise their hands.
After The Session
We will clear away the space, leaving it as we found it.
We will say goodbye and check for any feedback or questions.
Encourage your teams/guests to drink lots of water and move regularly.
